PT starts tomorrow morning! All flights must be present at 0635 and in formation by 0650. Tomorrow’s PT was actually moved from the UCF track to the RWC due to the weather. Here are a few snapshots of my uniform; it was issued at last Thursday’s LLAB. The bottom middle picture is of my Black & White ABU equivalents. (Only brand new cadets who have yet to earn their ABUs wear these.) Looking forward to tomorrow!

My new Air Force workout tank came in the mail today! Wearing it motivates me to go running. Yesterday after lunch my mom took me to a sports outlet store and bought me brand new, just released Nike sneakers and new workout shorts. Everything fits so well! I’m glad I finally have real workout clothes to wear to the gym (I was getting a little tired of leggings and a baggy T-shirt). And speaking of the gym, I’m making some serious progress! I was in Orlando for five days and in that time I ran nearly twenty miles and completed upwards of six hours of cardio and two hours of strength training. Everything’s sore and it hurts to walk and laugh and exist but I’m happy. And as a side note, I’m getting pretty good at giving myself manicures. Yay for glittery princess pink nails!

So, I had my informational briefing session today. A lot more people were there than I thought there’d be; albeit, I only saw six or so kids sign up at the end of the session. The whole scenario was a bit intimidating at first, especially once I started seeing soliders in combat boots walking around, but all things considered, it wasn’t too bad. Tomorrow morning I have my second meeting where I’ll complete all of the required paperwork and come fall I’ll officially be enrolled in the program. I’m excited to see what my sophomore year of college has in store for me. :)
